6th Annual East Side Mini Open Raises Nearly $11,000 for Healing with Horses Ranch

September 28, 2024

Healing with Horses Ranch is overwhelmed with gratitude as it announces that the 6th Annual East Side Mini Open raised nearly $11,000 in support of the Ranch’s equine-assisted programs and ongoing care of the herd. The event brought together thousands of community members for a day of fun, mini-golf, and meaningful contributions to a great cause. This is the second consecutive year that the Ranch was honored as the beneficiary of 25% of the event’s proceeds.

The East Side Mini Open is a roving mini-golf tournament that stops at over 12 local bars in East Austin. Participants enjoyed rounds of mini-golf, food & drink, camaraderie, and were able to meet two of the Ranch’s stars: Oreo the mini horse & Sweet Pea the donkey.

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who came out and supported this fantastic event,” said Patty D’Andrea, founder of Healing with Horses Ranch, who attended the event. “A huge thank you to Kinda Tropical, Yellow Jacket, and Zilker Brewing for hosting our team. We had a blast!”

The success of the event was made possible by the dedicated efforts of the East Side Mini Open team, Jeremy, Jordan, Shannon, Jacob, whose hard work ensured a smooth and memorable experience for all. The funds raised will allow Healing with Horses Ranch to continue providing life-changing therapeutic riding lessons and equine-assisted learning programs to individuals with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges.

Healing with Horses Ranch and the ESMO Team are excited to continue the tradition again in 2025. Keep Austin Weird!
